They say it can be recommended to literally, eat the rainbow. Include as many colours in your diet, as possible. A host of fruits and vegetables that are differently pigmented are considered good for fighting cancer. Most of the Red, dep Orange and Yellow coloured fruits contain a pigment called Carotenoids. Carotenoids are powerful, natural antioxidants. These also act as potent immune modulators. These work by protecting our body’s cells against the damage caused by various physiological and pathological processes.

Some suggestions for brightly coloured foods that are loaded with antioxidants, are Oranges, Mangoes, Onions, Garlic, Blueberries, sweet potatoes, etc. Try including at least 5 portions of raw fruits and veggies each day. In simple terms, Choose from the most richly coloured foods in order to get a healthy dose of cancer-protecting agents called Carotenoids, each and every day.

Onions And Garlic


Both Onions and Garlic are rich in Organosulfur compounds. Other compounds that are present in Onions and Garlic are Allicin, Manganese, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Selenium and copper. These compounds are believed to be very effective in fighting cancer because they can inhibit cancer growth when consumed regularly for long periods of time. Both these veggies are dense in nutrients and help in stimulating your Liver to release Glutathione.

In addition to being anticancer, both Onions and Garlic are antibacterial as well as antifungal. Onions and Garlic are best consumed in raw form. You could either Chop them or you could crush them to release they’re saturated in the most concentrated and pure form possible. Garlic has especially been found effective against Lung Cancers.



Eat Tomatoes to beat cancer. Tomatoes are rich in a very powerful antioxidant called Lycopene. It is basically a plant tissue that gives the Tomatoes, its Red colour. Lycopene is believed to retard the growth of cancer cells and even kill the cancer cells of certain types. Lycopene acts by intercepting the ability of cancerous tissue to make the necessary connections to receive a regular blood supply. Also, Tomatoes are a rich source of vital vitamins like A, C and E. All of these vitamins help to combat the cancer-causing free radicals.

Have Lots of Greens

Green and leafy vegetables like spinach, Broccoli, Kale and their sprouts in your daily diet. Try squeezing fresh Lemon juice on them for the nutrients from the veggies to get absorbed better in your system.

Dark Green and leafy vegetables are loaded with various compounds like Carotenoids, folates, chlorophyll as well as fibre. All of these work together for retarding the growth of certain types of cancers. The excellent antioxidants that these veggies contain help to combat the free radicals in your body that are responsible for causing cancer.

Turn to Your Spice Cabinet



Beat cancer with a diet including lots of spices in your food. Spices are a great source of antioxidants and certain minerals. The phytochemicals present in various spices can affect your body in many positive ways. Most of the common spices, like Turmeric, Ginger, and Cumin have anti-cancer properties.

Turmeric contains Curcumin that can essentially choke the blood vessels supplying the cancer cells to death. You can mix Turmeric, Black pepper with Olive oil in order to activate the power of Curcumin.
