Healthy skin is not a matter of DNA only; your healthy habits put a great impact on how you see yourself! Depending on your skin types and what suits you, there are a dizzying number of options to help you make your skin flawless.

Have a look at some  things you can do for an effective skin care routine:

But first, know your skin:

Oily skin:

If your skin is greasy and you are constantly blotting it, you have oily skin. Oily skin has large sebaceous glands that produce excess oil. Oily skin is more prone to acne.

Dry Skin:

Dry skin usually has a moisture barrier from with the moisture keep escaping making the skin dry and itchy.  This skin type is irritating and is more susceptible to aging and wrinkles.

Normal Skin:

Normal skin is more balanced. It’s neither dry nor oily or sensitive.

Combination Skin:

If your skin has more than one texture like sometimes its dry, while other times is oily, you have combination skin. This skin has oiliness around the T-zone, while the other areas of the face are dry.

Sensitive Skin:

This type of skin is more susceptible to irritation, redness, and acne.

Aging Skin:

If you have constant dark spots, fine lines, and wrinkles, you have aging skin. Dry skin is more like aging skin than other skin types.

Regular Skin Care Regime That Everyone Should Follow:

Cleansing:

Doing this will remove oil, dirt, and sweat that get into your skin throughout the day and night.  Do it every morning and evening, to make your face feel fresh and rejuvenated. Use cleanser according to your skin type and apply them upward in a circular motion to avoid any wrinkles.  Also, clean your hands before starting to prevent excess dirt from entering into the skin. Make sure your skin is free from acne and facial hairs. If there are any, go through laser hair removal.

Tonning:

While toning might seem unnecessary, it offers beneficial effects on the skin. Also, it will help your skin absorb moisturizer and also minimize the appearance of pores. Some toners also have PH balance and offer many antiseptic effects.  Apply them after cleansing by using a cotton pad or cotton ball. If you are using for the first time, use mild tonners or do a patch test. Also, avoid harsh tonners that are citrus-based or the one having alcohol.

Exfoliate:

Our skin shed millions of skin cells, but sometimes these cells build up on the surface and need scrubbing to remove them. That’s when exfoliating comes handy! It smoothly removes the dead cells from the skin. If your skin have acne scars, blackheads or breakouts, you should not miss this step.

Moisturize:

It’s like a protective layer on the skin that locks moisture in the skin and keeps the skin hydrated. This will make your skin smooth and will make you feel fresh. Pick the one as per your skin type and gently rub it into the skin. You can either go for cream, lotion or gel-based moisturizers for softer and smoother skin.

Skin is the largest organ in the body, so it’s essential to take care of it!
