Noida: In an effort to give advantage to home buyers facing constant problems due to late delivery of flats by real estate developers, the Noida Authority has decided to upload on its official website complete details of all realty projects that have so far been granted occupation certificates. As per the statement of additional CEO of Noida Authority PK Agarwal all details will be uploaded soon. He urges the home buyers to have a look at the details of the project on official website — www.noidaauthorityonline.com — before they take possession of their flats or before investing in any property.
Noida Authority Officials has said that the decision was taken in the wake of several complaints by home buyers about their helplessness to acquire information about the status of real estate projects in Noida. According to Noida Authority, home buyers often complain that builders misguide them about the status of completion certificates. Noida Authority has also received information that many builders are giving possession of property to home buyers without getting the necessary occupancy certificates. Maximum complaints are being received from projects, which were delayed due to order of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that had controlled the authorities from issuing completion certificates to the projects located within the range of 10-km radius of the Okhla Bird Sanctuary or within the eco-sensitive zone.
In this particular region, so far the Noida Authority has issued about 10 completion certificates to builder projects. Around 53 projects are in various stages of development in the area. Home buyers have also complained that developers deviate from the approved plans. Now, it is mandatory for the developer to get the original building plan sanctioned from the development authority and then sell flats or residential units only after obtaining the completion certificate for the constructed building.
